Where to Ask About an Ohio County Record

For someone currently held at the county jail, start with the detention center. For law-enforcement records, use the sheriff's office. For court charges, dockets, bonds over the jail limit, or case files, use the Ohio County court clerk.

  • Ohio County Detention Center / Jailer Landon Ross Spurlock: 108 E Washington St, Hartford, KY 42347; phone (270) 298-4455; fax (270) 298-4451. The research notes the facility is open 24 hours a day for eligible cash money deposits and bonds up to $5,000.
  • Ohio County Sheriff Adam L. Wright: 301 S Main St, Hartford, KY 42347; phone (270) 298-4444. Use this office for sheriff public-safety or law-enforcement routing, not jail operation.
  • Ohio County Court Clerk Shannon Kirtley: Ohio County Community Center, 130 E Washington St, Hartford, KY 42347; P.O. Box 67; phone 270-298-3671. Use the clerk for court-file and docket questions after charges are filed.
  • KDOC Open Records: for Kentucky Department of Corrections offender records, requests may be sent to correctionsopenrecords@ky.gov or to Department of Corrections, Offender Information Services, Attn: Open Records Coordinator, P.O. Box 2400, Frankfort, KY 40602; fax 502-564-9575. Include the person's full name plus date of birth or offender ID when available.
