Booking Process in Ohio County
After an arrest, the arresting agency transports the person to the Ohio County Detention Center. Ohio County Mail and Money
Standard nonlegal mail goes through TextBehind, not the jail street address. The jail says nonlegal friends and family mail must be addressed to the inmate with inmate ID, Ohio County Jail, KY, PO Box 76550, Highland Heights, KY 41076. Legal mail, legal representation mail, and money orders go to the jail's East Washington Street address. Mail sent to the wrong place can be rejected or returned.
Cash deposits are accepted at the jail, and the jail specifies only $1, $5, and $10 bills. Ohio County Records Request Fallbacks
If the roster does not show the needed booking record, use the jail phone line first for immediate custody and bond facts. For a copy of a public record, submit a Kentucky open-records request to the custodian of the agency holding the record. For DOC offender records, KDOC says written requests may be sent by email, mail, or fax and should include the full name plus date of birth or offender ID.
